Sunday 9/23/ 2007

Westward we go and Millie’s cold is much better. Good enough, in fact, to go to the first formal night dinner and show. The day was spent recuperating and just getting our feet under us. With so many more days ahead of us on this adventure, there just does not seem to be the same urgency we have felt to stay busy and involved in everything as we have on other vacations. We even took naps which is not something that we regularly do. We did manage to attend a class on digital photography which was very informative. We have not been able to download any pictures yet so you will just have to take our word for it that we learned something. The theme for tonight was “meet the captain” which we passed on. I don’t think he was offended that we didn’t stand in line to shake his hand and have a picture taken. Dinner was great (we both had salmon again since this was the last of the fresh fish we will have on board for awhile) and the show was a lively solo clarinet player who was surprisingly good. The ship hit some great swells during the show that even had the bad standing up and taking notice. I wish it had been daylight so we could have seen the wave action.
