While in Watson Lake, YT we visited the world famous Signpost Forest which is about the only claim to fame that Watson Lake can boast.  This  tacky, but nostalgic gem was started in 1942 by a Army private working on the Alcan Highway.  Over the years it has grown to include over 65,000 signs.  It is interesting to see dates from the past visitors in the early days of the road as well as the notations from all over the world.
We have spotted this bus at a couple of places on our trip.  It is a German tour bus configured like a motorized motel.  Passenger seats up front and bunk style sleeping compartment in back.
We are now in Whitehorse, YT which is where the gold stampeeders came after hiking the 15 miles over the mountains from Skagway.  From here they took paddle wheel boats like this (or built there own boats) up the Yukon River to Dawson.  This is the Klondike. She was the last paddle wheel boat to work the Yukon.
We took a hike along the Yukon river to look at Miles Canyon which was a mass of rapids before they built a dam.  It was cold all morning at 49 degrees.  The locals are running around in shorts and tank tops and celebrating Canada Day.  Next stop....Dawson City
