Today we traveled from the east side of Utah to the central section where three more National Parks are waiting for our exploration. Along the way we stopped at the Natural Bridges National Monument and hiked around the three arches in that park.
The drive took us through Glen Canyon, around Lake Powell and up the Colorado River. The landscape we encountered was probably the most bizarre of any we have seen, and it changed around every turn. We found flat desert, shear sandstone cliffs, rugged shale mounds and some very strange gray mounds that we have yet to identify.
