Hello from Wisconsin

So why are we in Wisconsin where it is still below freezing at night you might ask. 1 - we wanted to meet a friend of Millie's who she has been corresponding with for years. (Audrey and Leon treated us to some homemade chocolate cake and wonderful stories about the family)
and 2 - we missed one of our scenic drives last time we came through this way.

Since our last post we have visited the birth place of Abraham Lincoln near Hodgenville, KY and his boyhood home an Knob Creek. Then on through the beautiful horse country around Lexington, KY.

We wound up in Adrian, MI for a quick visit with Millie's brother and lots of family. Always a great stop and lots of fun.

We even were treated to a day of snow which left about 3 inches on the fields but nothing to worry about on the roads. It made for a very pretty drive.

We will be here in Appleton, WI until April 11th and then head south and west. Stay tuned.
