After Cape Cod and lots of rain we headed south to the rocky shoreline of Rhode Island. We found several wonderful little nooks that held some great chowder and fish and chips; and a few unexpected surprises like President Eisenhower's summer cottage.
The trip just keeps getting better.
..... and the fascinating mansions of Newport, RI. While the entire shoreline of RI seems to be the site of some magnificent summer homes, these "cottages" in Newport are in a class all to themselves.
